“Art: A Powerful Tool for Sharing Our Voices with the World”
President Tatar Emphasizes Importance of Art and Culture in TRNC
During a meeting with the Presidential Culture and Art Committee, President Ersin Tatar expressed his gratitude to be working with a committee that values and advocates for the arts. The President emphasized the importance of ensuring that young people are exposed to different forms of art through various projects and activities.
President Tatar also noted that the Turkish Cypriots have a rich cultural history, and that the field of art in the TRNC has great potential, with many successful artists. He urged all citizens to work together to carry the country’s culture and art from the past to the present.
The President also highlighted the importance of art as a tool for conveying messages to the rest of the world, and expressed his support for the artists of the TRNC. He added that, while artists are highly valued in society, they require a significant amount of effort and dedication to succeed.
In his speech at the reception, the Director of the Presidency Department and President of the Presidency Culture and Art Committee Assoc. Dr. Serkan İlseven, thanked President Tatar for his support of cultural and artistic activities.
The meeting took place on April 15, which is celebrated as World Art Day. President Tatar took the opportunity to congratulate all artists on this occasion and wish them success in their future endeavors.
