
Fuel Prices Soar: Impact on Consumers

Fuel Prices in Turkey Increased Starting April 2023
Starting midnight, the price of fuel in Turkey has increased according to the decision published in the Official Gazette. The updated prices have also been published in the same Gazette for the public to be informed.
The price of 95-octane unleaded gasoline per liter has increased to 21.40 Turkish Lira, while the price of 98-octane unleaded gasoline per liter became 21.72 Turkish Lira. Eurodiesel will be sold for 19.46 TL per liter, and kerosene will cost 19.04 TL per liter.
The 2023 Goods and Services (Regulation and Control) (Unleaded Gasoline (95 and 98 Octane), Diesel (Diesel), Kerosene and Euro Diesel) Maximum Sales Price Order has increased the prices by 86 cents for 95 octane unleaded gasoline, 87 cents for 98 octane unleaded gasoline, and 71 cents for Euro diesel, while kerosene prices rose by 85 cents.
The increasing fuel prices will have a significant effect on the economy and the daily lives of Turkish citizens. It is advisable to plan and adjust budgets accordingly.
