Statements from President Erdogan on the iftar program

President Erdogan’s statements are as follows:

We visited our provinces after the earthquake. We continued our visits in the first week of Ramadan. We were guests of the iftar programs of our earthquake victims in many cities. We also came together with earthquake victims in Ankara and Istanbul. We never leave our brothers and sisters who are victims of disasters alone in or outside the earthquake zone. Tomorrow we will be in Diyarbakir. We will never allow the election agenda to make people forget the earthquake. We are on the field with our state institutions and non-governmental organizations. From the first day of the earthquake, our ministers almost set up camps in the earthquake zones. We give the necessary instructions to speed up the work. We are in contact with everyone from our brothers in the Gulf Region to our compatriots in the Turkish world. We have accumulated all the capacity of our country in the earthquake zone. We strive to meet all your needs, from debris removal to the provision of education, health and other public services. Our institutions work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We want to get you to your new homes as soon as possible. As the debris removal works came to an end, we started the construction of earthquake houses. We struck the first digging 15 days after the earthquake. The foundations of earthquake houses were laid in Elazig, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş. Today, we held the groundbreaking ceremony of disaster houses in Malatya. We will deliver the first village houses whose construction was completed during the Ramadan Feast. Our goal is to build a total of 650 thousand houses and deliver them to the beneficiaries. We will build 70 thousand houses in Malatya. No matter what the agenda of others is, you are our agenda. The construction process of nearly 100 thousand residences and village houses has started throughout the region. Those who are after armchairs are around the 6-seat table. We are not seeking office. We are after your blessings. During our 21-year rule, we had no other intention than to bring works to our country. Despite the difficulties we faced, we worked hard to develop all our provinces together with Malatya. Whatever we promised you in the squares, we stood behind them when we took office. Turkey, and especially our beautiful homeland, has always been a country that is appreciated in the world. Some may not appreciate this, let them not know. We know and we will know.
